I set the ignition timing after I reinstalled the head as per the manual. And I marked all plug wires before removing them so they should be correct. I was reading else where that even though I have spark when testing the plug out of the engine doesn't mean the spark plug will spark inside the engine. Due to fuel fowling. Also I tried either in the cylinder and replaced the plug fast and no fire at all. Seems to me I should have had at least a pop or two.
