A welder that was just purchased the day before and never been used by you, I would think would have to be worth your purchase price you paid at the auction. I would just be happy to get that amount back. I would see what the insurance company will allow you for it first, with out saying anything. If its more, its more. If they offer less, then I would argue and show receits ect. and demand to at least get your purchase price.
