I agree. BUying a battery is like a lottery ticket. Some winners, some losers. Original battery in my Honda trike went nearly 20 years. I had a replacement didn't make six months. Got a pair of CIH batteries in the 7130 Magnum that made 15 years as well. The Workahaulics (Interstate?) batteries I put in the 1660 combine were still fine when I parked the combine last fall. I believe they were new in 1999.
