There are many here that will argue with me but I believe the 55 series to be pretty good tractors. Don't compare them to a Waterloo built because its like apples and oranges. Some had hydraulic issues but I feel they were better than some predecessors. I could not understand why they moved the slave cylinder for the clutch inside the clutch housing from the outside as the 50 series had. The cab electrical had issues sometimes, Deere printed a manual just for this area. If you have been running a Waterloo built tractor and move to a Mannheim you may come up short, if you have been running a utility tractor of another color, you will find the 55 will kick that tractors tail.
