Sorry the news wasn't what you wanted to hear. But I have known Carl for over thirty years. He has always helped me when he could. But the letter from Kubota stated that the L1500 was a gray market tractor. Was not ment for the US market. Any dealer having anything to do with it could lose the dealership.I believe the 175 is also on the list. But not sure.
This is not an uncommon problem. If you go into an Onan dealer and say you need parts for your airplanes engine. They will ask you to leave. Some people use Onan engines to power. Home built aircraft. I know of two generator engines, that you can't buy parts for. Gray market engines. I tried to buy parts for an old Waukasha engine. For a hospital in Waco. Dealer told me it was a classified engine that was still under Navy control. I didn't believe him so I did some research found out it was true.
