I had a neighbor that built some tractors years ago. Used a 4 cyl Datsun engine, put 2 four speed transmissions behind it and hooked it to a narrowed automotive rear end. Had good power and slow speed in. Low/low, run 70 mph in 4/4 if you could stay on it (no springs) . Built at least 4. His and one each for his 3 sons.
