So did Farmer seriously believe that his friend and neighbor the judge wouldn't recuse himself? (note- its "recuse", not "rescue", although "rescue" would seem to be an appropriate Freudian slip in this case). And now why is it the judge's fault that the case went against Farmer before another judge?
The judging business is considered to be a pretty good gig, and is mostly populated by smart people- smart enough not to get themselves into trouble for conflicts of interest by taking cases which feature their friends and neighbors. And now Farmer compounds the problem by trying to stink the judge out? Farmer may not be a moron, but he seems to have all the tools.
