Funny thing is , even though you can now spend your money 7 days a week , people don't seem to have any more money to spend . When I was a kid , our town was shut down tight on Sunday , couldn't even buy gas or smokes , nothing.And all of the stores on main street close at noon on Wednesday , this way the store clerks got a day and a half off every week . Sounds crazy now , but being a store clerk was a full time job then , same with being a bank teller . Banks opened at 10:00 am , and closed at 3:00 pm Mon.- Fri. Everyone lived just fine .
