Hobo, I put a new rear main seal in a motor a few months ago, then decided to tear into it further, and found the block was in tough shape. When I removed the rear bearing cap, I found that the Victor Reinz silicone had not quite filled in the space that it goes into. The tube that I have has an applicator tip that is approx. one and 3/4 inch long I need to get the silicone down in there another half inch. I was thinking of a drinking straw. How do you get it all the way in?
