Hello all, 1st post. Thanks for having me! I recently acquired a 70s Jacobsen GT 14 garden tractor for free. It came with the promise that everything worked and it only needed gas an a jumpstart. Fate wouldn't have it that way and the motor blew up the first time it ran. I found a new engine but it only will run on choke, I have a little mechanical knowledge so the best I figure is its not getting gas or rather enough of it. My real problem is the transaxle though, I got it moving last weekend and is it just sounds like crap. It whines horribly and grunts and looses power going up hill, I think it just has water in it as its sat around for awhile, my question is, will changing the oil fix this or could this be the end for it? I wanted this to be tractor for plowing as it came with a blower. Thanks for any help
