I've seen wild turkeys in town, but never way out here. They're amazing to watch. However, we have quite a few grouse.
Was talking with a neighbor the other day who has lived in the area I think all of his life. He said he'd never seen a March not have one single storm in it, and that it used to be 3 to 4 big storms before Winter would finally leave. This year, nothing. No rain, no storms, and only the remaining snow from 2+ months ago. I'm actually glad as the groundwater is still horribly high. Many culverts are still frozen as well.
