I don't use the Classic view, because I am familiar with the Modern view elsewhere. The icons to the left of topics in the list can be so helpful- gold bell in the circle means there are new posts since you last looked, if the bell is white, no new posts added. The little page icon and arrow take you right to the last post. On some boards, that page icon takes you to the last place you read, not just the latest post, but here it seems to shoot you right to the last page.
