I just picked up a Super A and while doing some research on it by using a particular search engine, this forum always comes up with helpful hints, ideas, advice, etc...so..joined. I really can't tell much about my Super A, as it doesn't seem to have any casting numbers on the block, so think it is a service block, but did see R2 on it. On some of the numbers on the tranny housing, I did see a "Y", so am thinking it's a 53 model. I'm not looking for a "full restoration", as my tractor will be a working tractor, bush hogging some narrow fire lanes...but want it to look nice enough to put in our small town parade, if I wanted. Anyway...nice to meet all of you'all.
