I had a scam problem recently. The AT&T rep told me to unplug the phone line from my black box thing (forgot what you call it) and leave it unplugged for 30-45 seconds. I asked what that would accomplish. She said it would change my IP address and my scammers would not be able to find me again. Me? I know nothing.
