I'm 68, no joint replacements. My best exercise is pushing food away. Lost 30#, down to 170. My BMI us 23. I've been taking chondroitin Glucosamine for past 25yeats. It helps keep joints in good shape. Won't do a thing taking it if you damaged joint.
I look at overloading a truck you are going to damage suspension, ball joints, blow tires. Think of it this way, carrying too much weight and you will damage your suspension, knees, hips, feet.
As for exercise, Fitbit says I walk between 10k to 15k steps a day. I like walking and riding a 3 wheeler.
