It's been a long time since I've done one so I'll probably miss a thing or two, but here are some of the things you need to do:
Of course disconnect the battery.
Turn the crank shaft so the timing mark on the vibration damper is at the bottom.
Unbolt the fan shroud and push it back over the fan.
Remove the distributor cap to prevent it from being crushed by the fire wall as the engine is lifted.
Then their are the obvious one's, like drain oil, remove filter, remove starter,exhaust cross over pipe, clutch arm/shift lever to the frame, if equipped with strut rods to the bell housing remove them, remove front axle drive shaft and some models required you take out the front axle shaft. Lastly remove the motor mount bolts and jack up the engine 3" +/- and slide wood block under the mount's between the frame. I've probably for got a few things, but that's it in a nut shell as they say, have fun.. :wink: :wink:
