Saw some piglets in a trailer along a state highway today. Several Yorkshire that looked like they had just been weaned. Also had 2 Hampshire that were about twice as big.
Sign on the trailer said Small $20 Large $40
Thought that was real cheap for piglets.
Use to raise my own beef and pork years ago when I had a house full of kids and slaughter houses were easier to find. Now a days most of the slaughter houses in my area have closed or switched over to wild game (deer) only.
