I don't think it is as much of "your dealer feeding you a line " as much as they don't have a clue either ! Dealerships are likely not paying techs enough to get the best ones and also not likely getting them the training they need. I know many auto dealers this is a problem and many companies shut down a hands on classroom training and just do tests over computer. I feel there is a HUGE problem with all this electronics in equipment. If a tech is smart enough and knows enough about this type of stuff they can make WAY more money working for a computer company !!!
