Current drones don't have zoom feature on the camera, so a Google sat picture can be pretty close to as detailed, but of course a drone can angle sideways on stuff. As we move forward the rules on flying over private property likely will change to protect folks a bit more from that side of things.

Speaking of "misinformation".......
That might be case with a $80 drone.
But if you spend $700 or more you will get "zoom" or magnification. Usually they simply make the camera with higher resolution so the digital photo can be blown up. 1080 pixel ratings are common once you spend more than a few hundred dollars.
