If you could put a picture on here it would help,where did you get the serial # from? In 1966 JD made the 1020,2020,2510,the 1020 was a 3 cyl.,the others where 4 cyl.I would suspect it's one of those,if so the serial # should be on a plate on the side of the trans.behind the right foot as you're setting on the tractor,the numbers you put on don't mean much from my book as far as 1966 tractors.Get back with more info if possible,cyl.#'s,gears? twin sticks? gas tank location in front of radiator cap?This would help.
