When I worked for Production Credit Assn. in the '70's, we had a summer picnic at one of the employee's summer place on Puget Sound in Washington. The oyster beds in front were rented to a grower who was invited to the picnic- he said we could go out on his beds and get enough oysters to barbecue for the picnic. While others were gathering oysters, my wife observed the grower opening oysters with a pocket knife and consuming them on the beach. She went over and asked if he'd open some for her, which he did, but told her "turn your back to the others, if they see us doing this they may lose their appetite- or their lunch".
She finally convinced me to try them- and much to my surprise, I liked them. Still have them once in awhile when we go to a fancy place for dinner. I had some Kumomoto oysters once, they were excellent, have never been able to find them since.

The answer to our needs materialized in the form of a '44 Farmall A, complete with cultivators, discs, single plow, a 5ft.Woods belly mower and one, mounted spare 9.00x24 rear wheel.
