I use the one Dad bought in 1964-it has never had any gearbox problem.The deck is a little rough,and it has been well used.I replaced 1 runner 10-15 yrs ago,and last year I replaced the blades and retainers.The OEM blades were cheaper than aftermarket and readily available at a dealer.That would have been the 3rd or 4th set of blades I think.I should have put new blades on a long time ago-it cut so much better and needed less power too!Mark
