I know people that have bought motor vehicles in NY State and brought them back to Ontario. At the border they had to show a valid bill of sale with VIN number etc and the price will be converted to $CND then you will have pay 13% HST on that price. Now since you are a non-resident you may not have to pay the HST. The CBSA folks will answer all your questions.
