2-speed is not necessary for what I do. Loader, planter and row crop cult. No pto work. 8 speeds is more then enough. Smooth? not really. But not bad ether as it is such a small percent bump up or down. Don't get me wrong. I use the 2-speed a lot because it is there but could get along fine without it. Thing goes down the road at 24 mph. which is nice if you have to travel much. Cab is one of the nicest you could ever have. Quiet and solid. I don't know if that is a good price or not. I do know if you bought it you would love it.
