I buy the pipe from the local welding shop. When I say "seamless"- may not be the correct term, but it has no weld seam inside the pipe...so you can use a full size rod on the inside. Makes it more stable. Also has a heavier wall thickness for more strength. Water pipe has thinner wall. My mount materials are 1/4 inch thick or more. Assemble pipes, rod, flat stock and clamp down before welding....makes for perfect alignment. Just don"t weld adjacent pipes on the same side! BTDT Let everything cool before removing clamps.
