The farther I go on this tractor the uglier it gets... Discovered this weekend that the differential housing was dry - as in no gear lube... I pulled the left rear axle to gain access to the differential, and the bull gear came out with the axle. All eight of the bolts which hold the differential together were broken off. The four "axles" of the spider assembly had jumped out of place and spun against the mounting face on the bull gear... Ugly. Everything in there was dry and rusty. All the bearings will need to be replaced. But, it looks like I can find all of those okay. The problem could be the differential, which needs to be replaced.
Can any of you fine folks point me in the direction of some salvage yards and/or tractor parts jockeys which might have a good used differential assembly for this Ford Jubilee?
