I just did this with the 4020. Mine is 12 volt - two 6's. The cable that runs from the first battery to the second and then on to the solenoid was bad. It looked fine but I just had a suspicion. It was a real pain as the platform has to come off, but man she sure whirls over now. As much as a 4020 "whirls" in the winter. I've never met a more cold blooded tractor. It's been here since the day it was new and it has always needed an outlet close by.
