. I also never was in a VW bus , But I spent many a night in the back seat of a 40 Hudson. Most always got home in time to milk in the morning. The old Hudson didn't know it's own way home so with a hurting head I always got up and drove it home. Made it most times. Got in the ditch a few times but there always was a good farmer to pull me out. Oh but to go back to those days. That was before the DUI laws. Oh yes and gas was 20 cents a gal. Now I haven't had a drink of ant thing alcohol since 1959 but I have bought a lot of gas for far more than 20 cents a gal.
