The old car hobby is famous for that. Many at least have them under cover, so they don't suffer that much in 50 years. But some sit in the back yard- one that comes to mind is a prototype '54 Hudson Jet convertible- not much left of it, rotted into the ground, everything on the bottom foot or so, including the frame, just gone. But a major league Hudson restorer got it from the widow, and basically used only the unique convertible parts, the side windows and the tops of the doors to make a good one out of a tudor that he had already. So the one and only Jet convertible lives, no thanks to the guy who hoarded it all those years.
