And they will tell you what they will do and you cannot fight that. I know personaly. Had my trailer wrecked by a no slow for stop sign car. My trailer was not a common size and new is only avaible on 2 month wait special order, The last year current price with the cheapest tires avaible was $2,800-2,900. I had new top quality radial tires with less than 400 mile on then with one tire totaly destroyed plus one damaged. I figure my wrecked trailer should have been at minium half of new price or $1450. Could not get them to budge a dollar. Finally told them thru my insurance company I would take $1200 and keep my trailer. My own insurance agency said you will tale $1100 and keep your trailer of else the claim will be closed and you will get nothing. So all I could do was take that what I figured was less than half what it was worth or nothing.

Then later same situation anouther no slow for stop sign. This time I was hit in left front corner of truck and wraped around power pole totallying truck. I had a took box bolted to bed that was destroyed and set up fpr trailer towing. They wanted to settle for what junkers were priced at in adds without even a trailer hitch or tool box ($250), and the junkers did not have automatic or the 8 cylinder engine that I needed for towing trailers. I ended up with 3 cracked ribs out of that. I talked to attorner that friend recomended as friend of his. Told me unless there was a possibly a several hundred thound dollare personal ingery settlement would do nothing for me. I think that friendship was dammaged for my friend from his attitude. And I think medicare eventually paid for my cracked ribs, not the person that caused the wreck. And in all 3 wrecks I had that year all the other drivers were sired. And I had full coverage on my vehicals. One thing my insurance did do was pay for the shirt I had on that the airbag dammaged that I had bought at Goodwill they paid me for the lable price of that shirt and I had a small had sided breifcase that got dammaged as well and they paid what would have been figured new price for one altho I had got it a a garage sale. The glasses that dissepeared from my face I only got part of replacemeny cost on them. In no case would any of the 3 different insurance companys budge a bit on what they would allow me. Said the figures were set by law to what they could pay.

Today's Featured Article - The Nuts and Bolts of Fasteners - Part 2 - by Curtis Von Fange. In our previous article we discussed capscrews, bolts, and nuts along with their relative hardness and thread sizes. In this segment we will finish up on our fasteners and then work with ways to keep them from loosening up in the field. Capscrews, bolts and nuts are not the only means of holding two parts together. When dealing with thinner metals like sheet tin, a long bolt and ... [Read Article]
