With the car at the body shop and charging storage fees it gets the insurance to move along as the insurance is paying the fees. The pay off price should be NADA price plus tax. No wiggle room but if you think they are low ask them to show you it in black and white. The buy back price is what they think it will bring at auction. Lots of good parts still there. There is some wiggle room here as your thinking of the auction price and theirs may be different. Remind them you are saving them auction fees and transportation cost and give them a counter offer if you want it back. But in the long run they do own the car at this point so have final say.
