All these suggestions to keep from digging up your yard or driveway are good. But the best solution is that little screwjack stop on the control. Don't try to be a neat freak unless you are plowing as a pro. For your homeplace set the stop to leave at least an inch of snow or more. If you see dirt, raise it an inch. I'm sure your vehicles can travel over an inch of snow. I used to dig up the drive, mess up the tractor, fiddle with chains. Then I just bought a set of studded off road tires fot the Tahoe, and I drive out in up to 10 inches of snow and don't push any around. I put a large homemade box about 50 feet from the road and told my rural carrier, UPS and FedEx not to worry about bringing packages up to the house. They just tore up the drive in the spring and fall anyway. .
