what clearance do you have?? a clearance of .0015 is kinda the standard in auto pistons. these are new u say so there cant be too much clearance, and these would be cast pistons. basically the harder an engine gets worked the more clearance is needed for the piston to grow. i would not be to concerned over the clearance , just as long as they are not too tight.after all its new parts, and they should have been fitted. they run with a lot of clearance when worn. and its only about 1100 rpm also. make sure the ring end gap is good. .004 for each inch of bore.
