I worked at a Deere dealer back in the 90's, if you can find the owners last name, and since you know the model, it's not hard for a service manager to look it up, just getting one to do it is the issue. I did it all the time for people, usually too less than 30 minutes of detective work. I don't know why dealers have become so unhelpful!
