I am intrigued by our first Fed Government in 1776. Discussions of the right to bear arms brought up the subject of gun control. Their solution was to teach Bible-based virtues in public schools. The first Feds insisted that EVERY student in public schools have a Bible as a text book. The first Feds even appropriated money to buy Bibles from Europe so the supply would be sufficient.
Thanks to Supreme Court rulings in the late 40s and early 60s and the fallout from that, Bibles are now not allowed in schools---America's storehouse of Bible-based virtues had drastically shrunk---murder rates are skyrocketing sigh!!!!!
