The family tradition here has always been to do all of our own work, as much as possible, and it has been successful. I know there are all levels. Many will say you can't afford your own combine. I can't cover the acres like others, but I see things every time over a field- mowing- spraying- primary tillage-secondary tillage- planting- spraying- harvesting- doing drainage work- mowing borders/ditches, etc. etc.
