The other day I was in a welding shop watching them replace the rusted out frame hump over the rear axle on both sides on a 2000 Chevy. By the way the rest of the frame looked I would have taken it to the junk yard. I assume it was a half ton judging by the frame rail size. It turned me off to buying an older used Chevy here in Iowa. This one had a little over 200,000 miles on the clock.
