The ice line is just north of us up around the Mississippi Louisiana line so we are wet and cold just south of I 12. We do not salt or plow the roads in south Louisiana. If the bridges start to ice over on the interstate they close the road. If the bridges start to ice on the state highways they put sand on the bridge.
Our last good snow was 8 years ago. Was about 4 inches. Everyone just stayed home that day and by the next day the sun had melted it off the road.
