I put the soft cab on the 1710 last week just in time for this storm. We didn't get the 12" to 15" the guessers were saying but did get 8" I plowed last night while it was coming down hard and I stayed nice and dry even without the side doors. The front plow and the rear blade did a great job I didn't need the 4wd and was able to push the snow banks bank with ease. In the past I ran the rear blade on the 8n and the plow on the 2n with Wagner loader that worked OK but this is better. I modified the cab to better fit my size 14 boots by attaching the front posts to the loader frame rather then down to the foot rests, I also made it so I can remove it easily in a matter of minutes so I can take it off for the summer. My FIL kept it on all year and the side doors and panels got worn and damaged beyond repair besides making it a bear to get on and off.
