Just bought a late 70s ford 4000 diesel. I bought the tractor from an older gentlemen who piddles with a few old tractors. I was told the tractor didn't have any blowby and I didn't notice it when I looked at it. However I have since got the tractor home and ran it a little bit. I noticed a small amount of steam coming out of the vent tube. I checked the oil and have ran it probably 2-3 hours and no oil has been used. The amount coming out doesn't change when the tractor is under a strain or at idle just a steady amount coming out. I won't be doing any serious work with it just bush hogging and taking hay. Should I just let it be or is this something I should fix.
