I agree with you as to being a target. However, I am a firm believer in good insurance. When I was sued, it didn't really matter who was at fault as much as who had money or insurance to pay out. There were 5 parties named in the suit, and I was the only one backed by good insurance. They went at me hard. In my case, the attorneys fees alone would have bankrupted me , even though I was not at fault. My insurance company covered all the bills, and didn't even raise my rates. They were loyal to me, and I am to them.
