My Dad died three years ago on the 27th. I walked into his house on the 25th and said "Merry Christmas dad". He looked me in the eye and said very slowly and firm. 'merry Christmas son."He was very glad My wife and I thought of him." All of the rest of his kids and family didnt have time to drop by or even call. I knew his time was short. Didnt know only 2 days left. I lost my best Allie , friend, teacher, and protector. Died walking to his truck while I plowed the driveway out during a storm. He slumped over the hand rail, but never fell. I ran and got a chair and had to sit him in it waiting for help. I knew he was gone. My Dad was a tough man. Didnt even fall down after he died. Mom Passed two days before Christmas two years latter. She was my Cheerleader. I have a wife and kids, but still feel very alone on this time of year. Al
