that load of wood would last about 2 weeks in my dad's fire place. It will take a 36" stick of wood with room to spare. when i was in high school, i would split 7 cords of wood starting in August with hammer and wedges; no hyd. log splitter, dad said he already had one. if i missed the bus, i was splitting wood. dad and I would drop the trees along in May and let them season all summer with the leaves still on. we would start cutting the along in August. hottest part of summer here in Texas.
