Its amazing how much car styles changed in the 50s. The 57 was a whole different look from the 52 models. Nowadays they don't change very much over the years it seems to me. I guess there is a limit to how many styling changes they can do on a vehicle. We saw a few 57 Mercs around here but I don't recall another 52. There was one 54 I think. They used to claim it had the Thunderbird V8 but that would have to have been a transplant as the T bird did not show up til 55 and Mercs still had the flathead in 54.
Fords and Meteors were everywhere but not so the Mercs.
