It depends on what is in your plot mix. My plot is about 1 1/4 acres with 1/4 acre in an alfalfa-clover mix. first couple of years I mow it off a few times a year to keep the weeds down. after that, weeds don't bother--no spray used. the rest is planted in roundup ready corn. ATV sprayer would work well, just have to calibrate. I use an old field sprayer I kept from the farm--300 gallon--a bit of an overkill but cheap and does the job. I am old school in applying 20 gallons of water per acre with the spray. Good luck,Gary.
