This won't answer your question but I have an old video of an Eskimo family. Starts with the man paddling the kayak up to shore, he climbs out, then his wife appears from inside followed by a couple of kids. They proceed to build a small igloo from the local ice and snow. When they get inside they remove their seal/walrus(?) skin top and they aren't wearing any undergarments. Just the skin with the fur turned inside is enough to keep them warm apparently. I'm not that tough, I prefer layers.
