Nothing fancy here. Small bucket on a cement block by the entry door. Hang a heat lamp over it. I don't turn it on until its going below 20 degrees. Otherwise I just bust the ice up when I'm walking by or replace the bucket with another if it gets froze to bad. I use a heavy rubber bucket so it doesn't crack in the cold. My chickens are in the Main barn along with the cattle in a fenced in pen so they do get some heat from the cattle being in there although its opened for the cattle to go in and out in one corner.
