Here is the general idea. They are almost dossial mowing blades. They have no lift or very little lift. They will throw the grass but with only a little discharge. The grass under the deck actually stays flat in one plain as it exits the deck. You get very little build up in the corners and virtually no wear of the deck. If you want to use a bagger or you mulch stuff then you need a very aggressive blade with big paddles at the ends. I have ONE set of "Hi-Lift" blades that I use with the trac-vac so everything sucks like crazy. Hardly ever plugs even with tons of leaves going up the hose. If you want to just open mow then get a set of these. Clean your deck nice and spiffy first and don't mow wet grass. When you are done I bet your deck will be almost spotless.
