You're also seeing it because the anti-law and order media has made tearing down law enforcement part of their agenda. That's why they show the old smiling pictures of the kid from 4th grade instead of the ones where he's holding a gun and giving the gang signs.
I hate dirty cops, I hate poor training that results in cops doing the wrong thing. But you have to remember there's a whole industry out there that makes their living off the agenda of "us vs them", be it cop vs citizen, black vs white, rich vs poor, rural vs urban, libe ral vs con servative.
