If you're buying to flip you certainly have to be very careful with what all you'll be putting into them. For use it comes down to the value of utility. A brand new tractor sure would be nice for my start up farm, but they aren't getting cheaper! Bought a Farmall 460 gas for $300. Needs tires and according to the seller, needs resleeved (haven't tore into it yet myself). They were going to scrap it! I don't have enough income to use the tax brakes. It's a good time to start a collection or get cheap usable power for new folks like myself. I may not be making money, but I'm saving a bunch AND I haven't lost any in value should I decide to upgrade.
